Which procedure will the Marmara Diplomacy Forum follow?
The Rules of Procedure prepared by our academic team will be shared on our website.
+
In which languages are committees organised at this conference?
Our conference is planned to include committees in Turkish, English, Arabic, and Japanese.
+
Can someone who has been attending the MUN conferences easily participate in the Marmara
Diplomacy Forum?
Yes, anyone who has attended MUN conferences before can easily join the Forum. While there are
certain differences between MDF and MUN, the procedures of both conferences are similar. Our
rules of procedure are clearly explained in the manuals, which will be shared with the
participants.
+
What are the differences between MDF and MUN?
The first difference is that in MUN conferences, at the end of the committee, delegates write
and submit a document called a Resolution Paper, and a vote is taken. In MDF, at the end of the
committee, a special document called Press Release will be written. This document will not be
voted on and each government representative will have the opportunity to express their opinion
freely. The second difference is that our Forum will host a type of session called an
extraordinary session, in which committees with the same language will gather in the same room
and discuss a separate topic specific to the session.
+
What is the topic of the Extraordinary Session and when will it be hosted?
The topic and time of this session will be shared with the participants before the day of the
Forum.
+
How can I prepare for the conference?
We provide study guides and a sample press release for each committee in our conference, which
will be helpful during the representatives' preparation process.
+
Can a representative change their allocated committee or country?
No, all the allocations are made by our dedicated academic team while considering the
participant's previous experiences.
+
Does participation at the MDF'24 conference guarantee a participation certificate?
Yes, each participant will receive a participation certificate at the end of the conference.
